A little girl was diligently pounding away on her grandfather's word processor. She told him she was writing a story. "What's it about?" he asked. "I don't know," she replied. "I can't read."
David H's new airplane is a beaut....just delivered to Chilliwack on Tuesday ....I caught this picture on a flyby where he came very close to a pesky seagull....Flyers are ever aware of birds near the airport as they can be very dangerous if contact is made....Ain't that a purty airplane....
I found this old crate while cruising around looking for pictures to use with my photoshop program...it happens to be just like one I owned when I was17.....The body of the car I owned was actually in pretty good shape ....but it needed cleaning up real bad.......a half a dozen school pals and myself painted the car one school evening ...it came up pretty good with a few coats of primer grey and then we finished off the wheels in pink. One of my friends folks had a small out of town gas service station and they let me use the bay to paint the car....o ya.....we got after it with brushes and its amazing the sin we hid with that grey primer paint....it looked pretty sharp for a fast job....the primer is flat finish and really cleaned the old car up....(36 plymouth)... in the bottom picture I did major repairs ..... I can truthfully say that is what the old car looked like after we gave it a couple of coats of charcol grey....... the paint was expensive ...2 quarts at 7 bucks each.
I will try and keep the blog connected with Chilliwack but I throw my own photo shopped pictures...most connected to Chilliwack but some not...I will keep it clean and hopefully entertaining .....I will still keep on with the Chilliwack memories thing from time to time....We have a wonderful outdoors around us and there will be some posts on my passion...Fishing....yup...and being retired, I have a daily trip to the Airport Cafe where some material is gathered from some very intelligent and upstanding citizens from our Chilliwack Division of the Flat Earth Society....maybe my kids and grandkids will keep the bloggin for their memories.
