Our regular coffee group ...(most of us have been enjoying coffee breaks there since the new building was built in 1986)..... we presented her with this picture todays afternoon gathering......yup...intelligent looking bunch huh!
Today well over a hundred people gathered at the Atchelitz Hall to wish Barbara Mitchelle the best, as she retires from the restaurant business ( she is famous in south British Columbia for her delicious pie) she has gained a first rate reputation for a fine restaurant with her home made pie being a specialty....she made em just about every morning ...still kneading the crust by hand....the old methods are the only methods to make it right as far as she is concerned....after owning the Chilliwack Airport Cafe (with her son John) for 22 years in its present location and about 3 in the old hanger building ...Barbara is reluctantly retiring.....they have sold to a faith full employee....Judy....who we we all be fully supportive of.....
